Carbon Acumen was created with the mission of providing meaningful insights into the California low carbon fuel market and respective policy. Carbon Acumen has grown with the low carbon fuel market; now providing market intelligence and information into California, Oregon, Washington, and Canada.

By analyzing accessible data from multiple government agencies (i.e. EIA, EPA, DOT, CARB, DMV, CEC, CPUC), relevant market participants (i.e. Neste, Valero, Tesla), and NGOs (i.e. ALA, Edison Institute, Cox Automotive, Experian), Carbon Acumen provides insights that help anyone, particularly those within industry or finance, understand overall market trends and potential growth sectors as North America transitions to a more sustainable energy economy.

My name is Will Faulkner and I founded Carbon Acumen. My experience buying physical low carbon fuel on the US West Coast from some of the largest producers and marketers in the world, moving it around the coast to low carbon fuel retail consumers, and transacting within various environmental markets (RFS, LCFS), along helping improving policy via whitepapers and industry connections, gives me a perspective that is highly unique not seen in typical consulting and commodity price reporting firms.
